Privacy Policy
This site compares tours across Christchurch and Canterbury, from Akaroa harbour cruises to the TranzAlpine train and Mount Cook day trips. That comparison work needs very little personal information. This page sets out plainly what we collect, why we collect it, and who else is involved when you click through to book.
Information We Collect And Why
Most visitors arrive, read about tours such as the Kaikoura whale watch day trip or a Waipara wine lunch, compare prices, and leave. In that session we never ask for a name, email address or card number. The only data involved is technical: your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view. If you write to us by email, we keep your address solely to reply, and it is never added to a mailing list.
How Bookings Work
This site compares tours; it does not run them. Booking a Kaikoura whale watch day tour or a TranzAlpine journey takes you to the operator's live page, and that is where card numbers, names and contact details are entered, never here. The operator or booking partner processes your payment under their own privacy terms. We are paid a referral fee on completed bookings, and the tour price you pay is unchanged.
What Cookies We Use
- Essential cookies keep the site working, remembering settings such as your currency so prices for Akaroa cruises display as you left them.
- Analytics cookies show us, in totals only, whether readers lean more toward Akaroa harbour cruises or Mount Cook day trips. Nothing here singles out a person.
- Affiliate tracking cookies let the booking platform attribute a completed tour booking to this site. They carry a reference code, never your name or payment details.
- Your browser settings can refuse or clear these cookies whenever you like. Pages still load normally, though choices made on an earlier visit will not carry over.
Third-Party Services
Clicking through to book, say, a Waipara wine tour or an Arthur's Pass day trip moves you off this site and onto the operator's or booking partner's page. From that moment their privacy policy applies. We use an analytics provider for traffic figures. No data is sold to advertisers or brokers, and we run no advertising network of our own.
Choices, Access And Deletion
Want to know what, if anything, we hold about you? Just ask. A request by email for a copy or deletion is enough, and a real reply comes back. Visitors in the EU, UK or Australia hold formal access and correction rights under local privacy law, and we honour those for everyone, wherever you live.
Questions about anything on this page are fair game, whether cookies, tour listings or how our referral fees work. Send an email and a person, not a machine, answers. This is a small site with a short chain of custody, so the data trail stays as thin as the comparison work itself.
